Your Questions, Answered

I want to book, what now?

Great! I can’t wait to hear from you. Contact me here to give me some information about the project, and I’ll follow-up with you and we can figure out the perfect plan for your shoot! Then, I’ll send over a customized proposal via email with a contract and payment portal. Once I’ve received your signed contract and 50% nonrefundable retainer, your date will be locked. The remaining 50% is due the day of the shoot.

Do you travel for projects?

Yes! I love to travel, and have photographed all around the world! I will travel for any type of project, not just weddings. If your project is outside of NYC, I will give you a custom travel quote after I receive your inquiry.

What is your approach?

I always start with story. The thing I love most about documentary photography is that each project is different than the last. I’ll give gentle prompting when needed, but always lead with capturing your authentically and honestly in your most natural form. I find that oftentimes, if we are in a location that sparks joy for you or doing something you love to do, you really won’t need coaching. My best work doesn’t come from a great pose or fancy lighting, it always starts with being in the present moment.

My approach to photography is much like my approach to life, which, without getting too woo woo about it, is all about letting go of what may be or what should be and accepting what is. It’s about accepting things as they come and seeing the beauty of what is all around us already. We don’t have to work for it, all we have to do is let down our walls.

I’ll leave you with this poem by Mary Oliver, which to me perfectly embodies my approach to art.
